I think we need some real life promo materials, whaddya all think??
These are flyers advertising vSide. They were part of an early Alpha gift (back in 2007) that included a stack of these flyers, Doppelbunny stickers, and a Doppelbunny T-shirt.
Also, I felt like the biggest nerd taking these photos.

Haha I watched it, I'm a creeper :P
Anyways I think that is a very good idea.
Also, don't go crazy, cause i know some people don't like the idea, but you know how walmart and gorcery stores, and like sevn eleven hold the little cards for other games to transit money from card to game? Ithink that can bu used as a promo material. It made me join gaia online to see what it is.

Hmm, I don't understand. Do you mean, like, a vBux gift card or cash card?

That all comes back to one thing: Money. Does ExitReality have the money to pay Walmart, or Target, or any other store to sign a contract to allow vSide to sell their vCurrency there? vSide isn't large enough to do that yet. Games like AdventureQuest, Gaia, and Runescape, all of which sell membership cards at Target, have 18,000, 40,000, and 125,000 users at a time, respectively. How many users does vSide have at a time? A measly 500, maybe 600. Our servers can't even hold over 1,000 users at a time, and you're thinking of advertising for more users? How about we expand first, and then take a grander approach.
If that doesn't apply to you, think of it this way. If you joined a game because it was advertised at a store you shop at, and you saw there were only 500 people online, would you stay in the community? I really wouldn't think so.

You may laugh at the sound of its name, but look how successful it got. They have 6 games up and running, and have 25,000 regular members in each of them at a time, about 100,000 total a day. Multiply 100,000 members by $20 for membership, guess what that totals to. $2,000,000 per game, that's $12,000,000. Then, they have advertising campaigns from Disney, they probably have an income of $50,000,000 a year.
Runescape has 100,000 members on at a time, at least 200,000 a day, that totals $5 a month per member, that's $1,000,000 a month, $12,000,000 a year.
You may think these games are inadequate, and I agree with that evaluation, but when it comes to business, these companies are marketing geniuses.

I didn't think about that but you are right.
